German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon sees profit potential in the digitization of Chinese small businesses and wants to partner with Chinese internet giant, Alibaba.
Chip manufacturer Infineon recently announced its intention to jointly launch Smart-Life and Smart-Industry applications with the internet company.
With this technology, access to the Alibaba Cloud should become faster, cheaper and more reliable for small businesses and individuals.
Small companies would then be able to conduct their production digitally.
Infineon already provides semiconductors and technical services for the Alibaba Cloud operating system.
"The two companies also plan to work together on e-commerce channels," said the German Dax Group.
Alibaba said that it is "the world's leading provider of cloud and AI technology."
