BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong plans to donate 10 million U.S. dollars to Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)'s Project Preparation Special Fund, according to a release by AIIB website.
The fund provides grant support to low-income members of the AIIB to help them prepare high-quality infrastructure projects.
The AIIB has approved five special fund projects in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Laos, with a total allocation of 4.395 million U.S. dollars, and more projects are being considered.
The rules and regulations of the AIIB special fund were approved by AIIB board on June 24 of 2016. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
