BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will work with other departments to promote the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical equipment, according to Xin Guobin, vice minister of MIIT, quoted by the Xinhua-run cnstock.com.
Xin made the remarks at the founding ceremony of the China Medical Equipment Artificial Intelligence Alliance recently held in east China's Suzhou city.
Xin said that AI is becoming a new engine for promoting supply-side structural reform, and a new opportunity to revitalize the real economy. Members of the alliance should strengthen international cooperation and exchanges, promote the improvement of medical service level, and share the development results of AI technology.
