BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued the first batch of mobile communication resale business licenses for 15 virtual network operators, and approved their operation of such business, according to the website of MIIT.
The 15 enterprises have all signed business contracts with China Unicom.
These 15 companies include Snail, Aishidi, Hodo Group, Yuantel, aliyun, Minsheng Communication, Telling Telecommunication Holding Co., Ltd., Net263 Ltd, D Phone, JD Mobile, Sharing Mobile, Brookstone, Xiaomi technology, HNA Telecom, T World.
In addition, industrial insider with MIIT said that the relevant departments have strictly reviewed the enterprises that have officially obtained the business licenses, and the second batch of licenses is expected to be announced at the end of August.
Data showed that as of the first half of 2018, the number of mobile communication resale users in China reached 70 million. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
