CAMCE secures USD447mln new contracts for overseas business in Q2 -- China CAMC Engineering Co.,Ltd. (CAMCE, 002051.SZ) announced on July 18 that the company's overseas business secured new contracts valuing at 447 million U.S. dollars in the second quarter of 2018. This includes the Chone hospital project in Ecuador as well as other projects. In the first half of 2018, the company signed 7 new important contracts for overseas business, and the total value of newly signed contracts amounted to 580 million U.S. dollars.
Nanshan Aluminum signs aircraft components JV with France's Figeac Aero -- Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd. and French airplane parts company Figeac Aero have signed an official cooperation agreement to set up a joint venture. The joint-venture Nanshan Figeac Industry Co., Ltd was planned in March this year to produce aircraft components and parts. The two parties will invest in developing a deep processing production line for aircraft parts, according to a statement from Nanshan Aluminum.
CGN completes acquisition of Europe's largest single-site onshore wind farm -- China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) has acquired 75 percent shares of a Swedish wind power project from Macquarie Group and GE. The North Pole wind power project, located in Pitea, Sweden, is the largest single-site onshore wind farm in Europe. It is expected to be fully installed and operational by the end of 2019 with a capacity of 650,000 kilowatts.
Tasly invests in Mesoblast, introduces two stem cell products -- Tasly Pharmaceutical Group CO.,LTD (600535.SH) announced on July 17 that it had inked investment agreement and product development commercialization agreement with Mesoblast, the world's leading stem cell R&D company. Tasly would subscribed for 20 million U.S. dollar common stock of Mesoblast and bring in two stem cell products which are respectively in the FDA clinical phase III and phase II trials, according to the agreement.
Malta, Huawei sign 5G infrastructure agreement -- -- Malta and Chinese technology giant Huawei signed a memorandum of understand (MOU) on July 14 that will improve Malta businesses via 5G, especially digital infrastructure for smart cities. The agreement, which was signed by Huawei Technologies Italia CEO Miao Xiaoyang and Maltese Parliamentary Secretary for Digital Economy Silvio Schembri, comes two years after Malta and Huawei signed another MOU that had seen the company test its flagship 5G internet connectivity in Malta.

(002078.SZ) announced that it planned to increase investment of 636.644 million U.S. dollars in its subsidiary Sun Paper Laos Co., Ltd to build a 1.2-million-tonne paper mill in Laos. When completed, the paper mill is expected to realize annual sales revenue of 641.50 million U.S. dollars, net profits of 84.207 million U.S. dollars per year.
DiDi gets USD500mln investment from Booking Holdings -- -- Chinese ride-sharing giant DiDi Chuxing announced on July 17 obtaining of an investment of 500 million U.S. dollars from Booking Holdings along with a strategic cooperation partnership between the two parties. Booking Holdings brands will offer on-demand car service by DiDi through their apps, and DiDi customers will have the option to book hotels through Booking.com or Agoda, reported Shanghai Securities News.

Russian company ABC-Motors to purchase 10,000 units of vehicles from Lifan Industry -- Lifan Industry (Group) Co., Ltd (601777.SH) announced that it had signed a purchase intention agreement with ABC-Motors in Yekaterinburg, Russia. According to the agreement, Russian vehicle company ABC-Motors plans to purchase 10,000 units of vehicles from Lifan Industry (Group) Co., Ltd with values totaling 100 million U.S. dollars from the period of 2018-2020.
