BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- China-Europe freight trains made 2,490 trips in two ways in the first half of 2018, growing 69 percent from a year ago, according to the latest statistics from China’s State Council Information Office.
Data also showed that the number of trains returned from Europe doubled in the first half of the year. While the number of trains grew, categories and quality of the goods have also been increasing.
Currently, China-Europe cargo trains have covered 48 cities in China and 42 cities in Europe, which have become an effective intermediary of the trade pattern constructed by China and countries from central Asia and Europe.
