Horticulture remains key to the growth of gardening in Thailand. Growing numbers of urban consumers are looking to produce organic homegrown food, which was behind the double-digit current value growth seen in seeds in 2017.
With the rising cost of living, increasing numbers of consumers are starting to do their own gardening, which is having a positive impact on gardening equipment. Products which can make gardening easier such as lawnmowers and gardening power tools are expected to perform particularly well over the forecast period, with the growing variety of products on offer from retailers likely to aid this development.
