BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region had its first intercontinental direct passenger route fly from Hohhot to Moscow, capital of Russia on July 8.
The route is carried by Tianjin Airlines’ A330 under the code GS7947/8 and is currently scheduled once a week, according to Song Yixi, deputy manager with Hohhot Baita International Airport Co., Ltd.
The Hohhot Baita International Airport previously had four international routes that reaches Ulaanbaatar, Bangkok, Phuket and Nha Trang, and is planning to open international routes to Singapore, Kathmandu, Yangon and other places. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
