BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Siemens Group had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aliyun, Alibaba's cloud computing subsidiary on Monday in Berlin, to jointly promote the development of the industrial internet of things (IoT) in China.
According to the MOU, Siemens and Aliyun will make full use of their respective advantages in technologies and industries to build a leading IoT platform to support “Industry 4.0” and China's manufacturing transformation and upgrading.
By cooperating with Aliyun, Siemens would continue to build an industrial digital network around the world. This cooperation is a milestone that will help China apply "Industry 4.0" solution, according to Joe Laeser, President and CEO with Siemens.
Hu Xiaoming, president with Aliyun said that the establishment of the partnership between the two companies marks another exciting step for Aliyun to achieve digital transformation in the world.
