BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (300750.SZ) announced that it plans to build a production and R&D center in Europe to produce power batteries and develop related business.
The project, located at Erfurt in the German state of Thuringia, will be conducted in stages, with the expected investment value for the first two stages standing at 240 million euros.
The products will be mainly sold in European regions, with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in Europe as the major target clients. (Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
