KUNMING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- The 19th China Kunming International Flower Show will open Friday in Kunming, capital of China's Yunnan Province, local officials said Friday.
The flower show, themed "Flowering Colorful Yunnan, Blooming 'Belt and Road'" will last from July 13 to 15, with an exhibition area of more than 30,000 square meters and 1,052 booths.
Over 300 companies will attend the event, including well-known international flower companies such as Dummen Orange and Anthura from the Netherlands. More than 3,000 entrepreneurs, officials and flower artists from Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Netherlands, Israel, Japan and Germany are also expected to participate.
The 2018 China International Family Garden Flower Show and the 18th China Flower Retail Industry Conference will also be held during the same period.
Yunnan has 200,000 flower growers, and about 800,000 jobs have been created by the flower industry. Commercial flower plantations in Yunnan cover an area of over 100,000 hectares.
