BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- The Seminar on Chinese Enterprises Going to the ASEAN was held in Shanghai on Friday to advance the long-term win-win development of China and ASEAN countries under the Belt and Road Initiative.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of China-ASEAN strategic partnership. According to data released by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC), the trade volume between China and ASEAN exceeded 500 billion U.S. dollars for the first time and reached 514.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2017, an increase of 13.8 percent year on year, with the growth rate surpassing the numbers of the country with the EU and the United States.
China-ASEAN cooperation has become the most successful and dynamic example of cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, experts say. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
