VIENTIANE, June 28 (Xinhua) -- The Lancang-Mekong cooperation media summit will be held on July 1-3 by the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the Chinese newspaper People's Daily.
The meeting will be held under the theme "Cooperation in Lancang-Mekong Community for a Bright Future."
The state-run Lao News Agency reported on Wednesday that the meeting will be attended by senior officials and media representatives of Laos, China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
The participants are expected to evaluate the implementation of a joint declaration of the Lancang-Mekong cooperation media summit signed in Beijing last year and exchange views on strengthening cooperation in media, especially in new media and tourism promotion.
