BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhua) -- The number of newly-established foreign-invested enterprises in east China’s Zhejiang province was 1,243 in the first five months of this year, with a total investment of 27.32 billion U.S. dollars, according to the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang province.
Actual foreign investment in these companies reached 7.24 billion U.S. dollars, up 3.6 percent year on year.
in January-May, 39 foreign-invested enterprises injecting capitals more than 100 million U.S. dollars, compared to the 25 enterprises in the same period of last year, with a total of investment reaching 8.79 billion U.S. dollars. Most of them were involved in the sectors of intelligent vehicles, electronic chips, new energy, and information technology industry.
Meanwhile, the number of newly-established enterprises with invesmtent from coutnries along the Belt and Road routes was 371, up 3.6 percent year on year. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
