BEIJING, June 20 (Xinhua) -- HNA Group has inked strategic cooperation framework agreement with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) to gradually introduce and operate 200 C919 large passenger aircraft in the future so as to promote domestic aircraft to achieve the scale and market-oriented operation of domestic aircraft.
Total domestic and foreign order number for C919 has reached 815 so far, according to COMAC disclosed order information. This does not yet include the mentioned 200 C919 aircraft, reported the Economic Information Daily.
This means that order number for C919 will exceed 1,000 with the implementation of the agreement.
The price of same type international aircraft exceeds 50 million U.S. dollars and the order for 1015 C919 will bring continuous and stable income to COMAC and China’s aviation industry. This will greatly promote the development of the aviation industry and promote the development of a nationwide aviation industry cluster, according to Li Jian, deputy head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
