Report of Costa Rica's Goods Trade and China-Costa Rica Bilateral Trade in 2017
In the year of 2017, the value of Costa Rica's trade in goods was 25.57 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 3.3 percent over the previous year, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Costa Rica. Among them, exports were 10.25 billion U.S. dollars, up 6.4 percent; imports were 15.32 billion U.S. dollars, up 1.3 percent. The trade deficit was 5.07 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 7.6 percent.

Report of Costa Rica's Goods Trade and China-Costa Rica Bilateral Trade January-June 2018
According to the Statistics Bureau of Costa Rica, the total import and export of Costa Rican goods in the first half of 2018 were 13.74 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 10.3 percent over the same period of 2017. Among them, exports were 5.81 billion U.S. dollars, up 17.7 percent; imports were 7.93 billion U.S. dollars, up 5.5 percent. The trade deficit was 2.12 billion U.S. dollars, down 17.8 percent.
