According to Eurostat, in the first half of 2018, the import and export of Romanian goods was 89.62 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 22.4 percent over the same period of 2017. Among them, exports were 40.91 billion U.S. dollars, up by 22.3 percent on year; imports were 48.71 billion U.S. dollars, up by 22.4 percent on year. The trade deficit was 7.80 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 23.2 percent on year.
