Chinese ports grow to be speeder of high-quality development

Abstract : From 1949 to 2018, Chinese ports saw their cargo throughput up as many as 1,434 times, serving as not only a barometer of the economy but also a speeder of high quality development.

BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- From 1949 to 2018, Chinese ports saw their cargo throughput up as many as 1,434 times, serving as not only a barometer of the economy but also a speeder of high quality development.

Usually, ports are important witnesses and participants of the regional economy and seaborne trade relying on operation of global ports accounts for about 80 percent of the trade worldwide.

By overcoming difficulties, China’s ports grew rapidly and stepped towards intelligent, internationalized and green development. Among the world top 10 biggest ports, seven of them are Chinese ports.
