BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (Yili Group), China's market-leading dairy products producer, took part in the inaugural meeting of the Belt and Road Economic Information Partnership (BREIP) held in Beijing on Thursday.
BREIP is initiated by Xinhua News Agency and co-founded by more than 30 institutions including well-known news agencies, information service providers, research institutions, chambers of commerce and associations from 26 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Oceania.
Zhang Yipeng, vice president of Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd., said in a keynote speech delivered on the meeting that the BREIP will contribute to global win-win cooperation as it helps build the "Information Silk Road" and facilitates businesses from related countries and regions to discover potential investment and trade opportunities.
Zhang held that information resources of the Belt and Road countries and regions have become the important data for government, think tanks, and enterprises to comprehensively understand the economic development and investment opportunities under the BRI and make strategic decisions.
In other words, the BREIF, by sharing economic information between its members, serves as a gratifying pillar for many companies including Yili Group to efficiently deploy their overseas markets.
Early in April, Yili Group proposed a concept on co-building a Global Health Ecosphere. Turning the concept into reality requires sharing of economic information, added Zhang.
By far, Yili Group has conducted industry layout in Asia, Europe, Oceania, and North America and crafted its global intelligence chains, via which a series of scientific achievements have been transformed into high-quality products to benefit global consumers.
