InfoQuest (September 24, 2019) -- Mr. Kobsak Pootrakool, deputy secretary general for political affairs attached to the Office of the Prime Minister and secretary general of Thai economic cabinet, said that the economic cabinet meeting will be held on October 7, 2019. At the meeting, attendees will deliberate on export and tourism stimulus measures to put tourism on track towards the set targets, such as building tourist-oriented commodity sales centers near airports. Currently, some private enterprises, such as Central Village, are engaging in such business to spur consumption of foreign tourists.
"We will build something to attract tourists and make them spend out their cash before leaving the country," said Mr. Kobsak.
The main agenda of the economic cabinet meeting, scheduled for October 16, 2019, will feature discussion on promoting the development of SMEs and speeding up local budget allocation.
