PARIS, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on the achievements of cooperation between Chinese and French enterprises in the past five decades was inaugurated on Tuesday in Paris.
Pictures and models showing examples of products and investment that Chinese and French enterprises have jointly achieved since the two countries established diplomatic relations were displayed.
The achievements are spanning from institutional partnership, financial exchange, aeronautic and aerospatial, energy, transport, logistic, telecommunications, real estate, judicial services to leisure and culture.
While inaugurating the event, Chinese ambassador to France Lu Shaye recalled that enterprises are not only "major actors" in the development of economic and trade relations between China and France, but also "participants and benefactors" of the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
"In this international context marked by the multiplication of factors of uncertainty in global economy and by the resurgence of protectionism, unilateralism and the movement of globalisation, it is particularly precious that Chinese and French enterprises maintain a good momentum of cooperation and expand its development to larger domains and towards higher level," he added.
For Pan Nuo, president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in France -- organiser of the event, the exhibition presents a promising perspective for the development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The France-China Committee, a club of French enterprises active both in France and China, is one of the partners of the exposition. Its head, Jean-Louis Chaussade, who is also President of Group Suez, echoed the wish of deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
This year also marks the 40th anniversary of his Committee co-founded in 1979 by French entrepreneurs' association, the Chambre of Commerce and Industry of Paris and the French Council of Foreign Trade, he noted.
"Ever since, numerous French enterprises have settled down in China and built up links with China which are very important for them ," he said.
