InfoQuest (Sept.10, 2019) -- Mr. Adul Chotinisakon, director-general of Thailand's Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), revealed that DFT is moving faster to boost border trade in line with the government's policy on promoting its trade and investment with neighboring countries. DFT has planned to organize YEN-D entrepreneurs to Malaysia on September 13-16 for business negotiation and matchmaking, seeking to create more opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs and grow the border trade volume of Thailand.
50 young Thai entrepreneurs will participate in the trip to Malaysia, and 100-plus Malaysian businessmen have showed interest in business negotiation and matchmaking. Besides, the activity has won the support of Thai commercial counselor in Kuala Lumpur and representatives of well-established Thai companies in Malaysia, including Central Pattana Public Company Limited (CPN), Bangkok Bank (BBL), and PK Agro-Industrial Products of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF). These people will offer knowledge and useful information for Thailand to launch business in Malaysia, and facilitate young Thai entrepreneurs in expanding market in Malaysia.
"The activity is an extension of "Young Entrepreneur Network Development Plus Program" (YEN-D Plus Program), which was held between March to May and turned out to be a huge success. 120-plus people from Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia participated in the program, which facilitated business machmaking of 10 pairs of partners," said Mr. Adul.
