Thai PM orders to stimulate the economic growth in Q4

Abstract : Thai Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha was briefed on the forecast of an economic growth rate in the third quarter of 2019 roughly level with or even lower than the quarter prior.

InfoQuest, (Sept. 03, 2019) -- At the meeting, Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha was briefed on the forecast of an economic growth rate in the third quarter of 2019 roughly level with or even lower than the quarter prior, and ordered allied economic departments to formulate additional economic stimulus measures to drive economic growth in the coming fourth quarter, said Thailand's Energy Minister Mr. Sonthirat Sonthisajirawong after the cabinet meeting.

The economic cabinet meeting originally scheduled for August 30 has been postponed to September 6, and the investment promotion measures submitted by the Board of Investment (BOI) and the export stimulus measures submitted by the Ministry of Commerce will be considered at the meeting.
