BEIJING, July 22(Xinhua) -- China's building material cement market price dropped 0.3 percent this week while cement storage capacity ratio stood at 62.81, a slight decline than the previous month, industrial figure showed.
In terms of regional distribution, prices of cement fell in Zhejiang, Henan, Chongqing and Qinghai, at a range of 20-40 yuan per ton. While it is reported that in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, the cement price increased 10 yuan per ton.
Since June, China's cement price has fallen for the seven consecutive weeks. Not until late July, with the rainfall decreasing, China's domestic cement market demand showed slight increase, despite its slight decrease in price.
The growth trend in cement prices is expected to commerce in early August, considering the impact of the hot weather on market transactions will be weakened, cement prices will stabilize in most areas in this period. In late August, cement prices are expected to pick up, said Chen Bolin, president of Digital Cement in an interview to China Securities Journal reporter.
