BEIJING, July 19 (Xinhua) -- With an increasing number of China-Europe freight train, the proportion of inbound freight trains has steadily improved, continue boosting China's economy, according to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd (China Railway).

It is noted that the freight train has become an important trade channel connecting China and Central Asian countries, seeing more and more international trade through the channel.

A solid supply of goods carried by the inbound freight trains has been formed, mainly including automobile parts, machinery equipment, daily necessities, foodstuff, and timber, said China Railway

"The Chinese market is desirable. In recent years, the transportation and logistics capabilities of China and Central Asia have been continuously improved, which has brought great convenience to international trade," said a sales representative at a famous textile enterprise in Uzbekistan.

The sales representative added that the freight trains are very reliable and punctual, which has helped cut transportation times as well as logistic costs compared with moving the goods by in-direct train routes previously.

Meanwhile, the inbound freight train is also shipping high-quality cotton yarn, licorice and leather from Uzbekistan to the Chinese market, according to a senior representative from Sinotrans Landbridge Transportation Co., Ltd.

In 2016, the first such freight train was put into operation in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region assembly center. So far, more than 2,000 trains have departed from the assembly center to 26 cities in 19 countries in Central Asia and Europe, according to Nan Jun, deputy general manager at a logistic company in Xinjiang. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
